2+2

My head is spinning. This day has been too much for me.

Within the first ten minutes of being awake I learned that Chris Henry is no longer a member of my favorite professional football team, and that the Fratellis are finally coming out with a second album.

My first thought was one of excitement. "This could make for some neat website material," I thought.

Things soon became more interesting...

Johnny Cueto started striking out guys with alarming frequency. And Ryan Freel was screwing up on the base path (the more things change...). And Marty was on the radio! With Thom! No Brantley! I got to listen to the Brennamans together for a regular season game for the first time in months. The universe appeared to be in order.

I had some writing to do.

Until...

I checked my email. I spent a good portion of my day swapping emails with four people who attended my grade school--all of whom were not in my graduating class. The topic? Which class produced the worst kids? This was a spirited debate, too. It was point-counterpoint all day long. We brought up drug dealers, drug addicts and dead people. These are the kind of discussions you occasionally have if you grew up in Westwood. Anyway, we never got a definitive answer but it was a good way to waste the afternoon. There was one big, huge, giant problem, though: my emailing partners were trying to waste their afternoons, for they were supposed to be working. Me? I was supposed to be updating this thing.

Which brings us to now, this very minute. So I didn't post anything today...whattya gonna do? Perhaps I'll do some post-midnight writing for you people. For now I have to head to Columbus.

I hope you don't hate me (even if I hate myself).
